The Story Of Fumiko Chapter 3: Fumiko Learns

The next day, I awoke and began to prepare Fumiko's Breakfast. As I was preparing her breakfast, Fumiko had woke up and began to explore my house. Whenever she came across something that she didn't understand or didn't know what it was, she gave an inquisitive trill, which temporarily made me stop preparing her breakfast to tell her what each thing was. Finally, after finishing her breakfast, it made me wonder if Fumiko had any powers at all. "Fumiko?" I began to question, she immediately stopped and looked at me curiously, as if she knew that I was going to ask her something. "Do you have any, powers at all that you're aware of?" "Pow...ers....?" a voice had questioned in my head. Startled, I thought somebody was in our home, I quickly drew out my short sword that I had stored in my boot. "WHO'S THERE!?" I questioned loudly. "I know you're here! SHOW YOURSELF!" After a few moments of no one speaking, I decided to search the whole house. I searched every nook and cranny trying to find the intruder that was in our home, but to no avail, there wasn't anybody here except for me and Fumiko. Then it dawned on me while she ate the last of her food in her dish. "Fumiko? Did-Did you just talk?" I questioned. Fumiko looked to me, "Talk? You mean... what I'm doing right now?" the voice had entered my head again. She was talking! Telekinetically! I put my short-sword back into my boot. "You did talk! But not with your mouth, with your mind!" I exclaimed in excitement. Wow! I couldn't believe that this was one of the powers that my dragon had! I began to teach her different words, and phrases so she could let me know whatever it was that she would want or need. After several months of teaching, Fumiko became fluent in my language, but was fluent in another language that I'd never though in my wildest dreams could ever be possible. But that is another story to be told at a different time.
